Makloc is seeking a Lean Six Sigma (L6S) Continuous Improvement Specialist for a temporary contract position anticipated to last 6-8 months, with the potential for extension based on business needs. This role will play a key part in implementing Lean Six Sigma principles to streamline operations, improve quality, reduce waste, and optimize performance across the organization.

Key Responsibilities (included but not limited to):
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures and processes aligned with industry best practices and Lean Six Sigma principles.
- Lead and facilitate Continuous Improvement (CI) projects to achieve zero harm, improve quality, reduce waste, and optimize cost performance.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and collaborate with Management to execute targeted CI initiatives.
- Champion and oversee 5S programs to improve workplace organization, efficiency, and product flow.
- Monitor, report, and track project progress, KPIs, and implementation plans to ensure alignment with business goals.
- Coach and train cross-functional teams in CI and Lean methodologies, including 5S, Kanban systems, one-piece flow, and setup reduction.
- Drive quality improvement initiatives, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation to enhance internal and external quality standards.
- Act as a liaison with leadership and divisional resources to ensure alignment of CI activities with corporate goals for quality, cost, service, and team performance.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field; an engineering background is preferred but not required.
- Certification: Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification is required.
Experience
- Familiarity with building systems (welding, coating, sheet metal)
- 3+ years of experience driving process improvement, operations optimization, or quality initiatives.
- Demonstrated success in leading Kaizen events and implementing Lean tools.
- Experience in manufacturing, industrial construction, or operational environments is a strong asset.
Skills
- Strong proficiency in Lean tools such as 5S, Kanban, TPM, A3, 5-Why, Value Stream Mapping, Poka-Yoke, and root cause analysis.
- Ability to influence teams, foster buy-in, and coach personnel at all organizational levels.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for teaching and collaboration.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
